The Land
2019
This project aims to examine and to celebrate the weight of life. I urge to embrace both pain and pleasure — heavy as the copper or light as the fabric. It clings to the ground also floats in the air.
Body: 100% Dyed Cotton
Cuff: Handmade hammered copper
In the garment, I focus on the spirit of weight which appears in every stitch, drape, pleat, and hammered mark. They are the most sensible and vital part in garments just like the cracks and wrinkles appear on one’s body. With every movement, the wrinkles close tightly and open again with unique sounds and air flows.
Together they forms the performance at the end to celerabte and to inspire.
